A joint effort between the City of Grapevine and Grapevine Homeowners in “sharing” the cost of up to two trees per household planted in the homeowner’s yard.
This program is a joint effort between the City of Grapevine and Grapevine Homeowners in “sharing” the cost, 50/50, of up to two trees per household planted in the homeowner’s yard. Your share is $175.00 for a 30-gallon container-size tree. Tree height will range from 6 to 12 feet in height depending on the variety. The price includes planting and a 6-month, one-time replacement guarantee. All trees must be planted at least 30 feet from each other. All of the trees below that are being offered this year are provided locally and do well in Grapevine.
Growing trees provides essential ecological, economical, and health benefits. For the home, trees can reduce heating and cooling costs, buffer noise, help control pollution as well as increase privacy and property values.
The species of trees included in this program may vary annually. Below is the list of trees for the 2024 Tree Sharing Program: Single-Trunk Trees: Bur Oak, Cedar Elm, Chinkapin Oak (Quercus Muehlenbergii), Live Oak, Live Oak (Quercus Virginiana), and Red Oak (Quercus Shumardii). Small or Multi-Trunk Trees: Desert Willow (Chilopsis Linearis), Lilac Chaste Tree, Little Gem Magnolia, Possum Haw Holly, and Yaupon Holly.
